PDCA Cycle -Total Quality Management

PDCA Cycle ( Plan Do Check Act )


     PDCA Cycle is a four steps management method used in business for the control and continuous improvement of Process and Products. 



What is PLAN ?

1.Form a Team.
2.Identify the problem.
3.Understand the Problem.
4.Identify the potential root cause.

What is Do ?

1.Describe the solution.
2.Try or Test the solution.
3.Carryout a small scale pilot project.
4.Measure the result.

What is Check ?

1.Study the result.
2.Measure the Effectiveness.
3.Communicate and Feedback.

What is ACT ?

1.If the solution was successful,implement it.
2.If the solution was not effective,then again follow PDCA Cycle.


When to use PDCA Cycle ?
  • When we are starting a new improvement project.
  • When we are implementing any in change. 
  • When we are working towards continuous improvement.
